These images were created through digital drawing and montage. Samples of the body and nature coexist with synthetic and digital elements. Just as digital technology is influenced by patterns and structures in nature, biological life reflects aspects of digital technology, including the ability to recombine, duplicate, and change form.
Adapting to a digital and genetically modified future, I imagine that biological organisms will develop the ability to reconfigure themselves in endless new variations. Reworking legends and landscapes, these fantastical drawings present a world of recombinant structures in which everything is transformed from its original nature.
